Spend Angel is built with privacy at its core. All your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit your financial information — ever.
Spend Angel ("the App") is a receipt scanning and expense tracking application for iOS. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data. The short version: your data is yours, and it stays on your device.
Spend Angel does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
The App does not collect your name, email address, or contact information. It does not collect your financial data, receipts, or expense records. It does not collect your location data. It does not collect device identifiers or analytics. It does not use tracking technologies or cookies. It does not share any data with third parties.
All receipt scanning and text recognition is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Your receipt images and extracted data never leave your iPhone. No data is sent to external servers for processing.
All expense data, receipt images, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including encryption and your passcode or Face ID / Touch ID.
The App requests access to your camera to scan receipts and your photo library to attach receipt images. These permissions are used solely for the purpose of capturing and storing receipt images on your device. No images are transmitted externally.
The App allows you to export your expense data as CSV or PDF files. These exports are generated locally on your device. How you share or store these exports is entirely under your control.
Spend Angel does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App does not contain ads and does not use any ad-related SDKs.
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no data at all, there is no risk of children's data being collected.
If we ever change how data is handled, we will update this privacy policy and notify users through the App. Any future features that involve data processing will always be opt-in and transparently communicated.
